In recent years, the popularity of online platforms has been growing, new opportunities are emerging, and various services are being integrated. Digitalization has also affected the recruitment process: more and more people apply for work using particular sites, applications, or email. This research’s main issue is to investigate whether online digital platforms help organizations recruit effectively and efficiently.

Baum and Kabst (2014) study compares traditional recruitment and digital methods and states that online recruitment is more attractive for applicants. Moreover, researchers conclude that the digital recruitment process has “a significant positive effect on the employer knowledge of potential applicants” (Baum and Kabst, 2014, p. 370). The effect of online recruitment advertisement and website appears effective. The research of Gilch and Sieweke (2021) aims to highlight the importance of the digital transformation of any organisation. Digital recruitment helps “to hire employees with ITrelated KSAs”, which in turn leads to organisation digital transformation (Glich and Sieweke, 2021, p. 27). Karácsony et al. (2020) explore how young people prefer to enter the job market. The researchers state that 74% of young people will look for a job digitally (Karácsony et al., 2020). Hence, to attract the younger generation, recruitment should mainly occur online.
